Community Orchard Morning

We get a lot of enquiries about our orchard from community groups locally, and from around the country about our orchard, so we thought we'd put on a free session for those interested in planting community orchards.  We won't stop you from coming if you're a private landowner who has an interest in orchards from an ecological or sustainability angle and a desire to involve the local community in some way.

We'll cover land suitability, varieties, heritage vs common vars, rootstocks and where to source your trees, how to plant, when to plant and the orchard season.  It may be a good session for those along the route of establishing a community orchard to share their experience with those not so far into the process or just exploring the scene.
