Tours & Tastings

Our vineyards and orchards are amongst some of the most accessible anywhere in the UK, near to the edge of the Peak District National Park, close (but not too close) to the main A615 going to the national park, we are perfect for a family day out.  Come and join us to see our lovely vineyards and orchard, in the beautiful Amber Valley and hear about our journey and taste our lovely wines. Map and location on our home page here

We will be open most Saturday's (most of the year round) and Sunday's from Late July through to early September for wine sales, by the glass or bottle, and self-guided walks through the Little Vineyard and orchard.  Feel free to bring a picnic, kids and dogs.
Our bar serves our own wines, English fizz and local cider.

Tours & Tastings

Our tours take around an hour and a half and cover all aspects of the vineyard year, our unique 'terroir' and how our wines are made.  Followed by a tasting or two of our fabulous wines.  There are a number of tour packages to choose from and they make great gifts. We also host hen and stag groups too.

Events

From time-to-time we run events in our licensed vineyards and orchard, such as Farmers and Artisan markets, Fizz n' Chip Friday's, even a Wassailing event in January.
Often they are free or there may be a small charge. Keep coming back or keep an eye on our social media channels to see what is coming up.

The Little Vineyard

The Little Vineyard is situated just outside the village of Wessington and is where we conduct many of our tours. Here there is parking and some facilities plus the orchard where we enjoy our tastings.  The former stables act as a temporary cellardoor shop and bar to enjoy tastings on those cooler, wetter days we may experience over the summer.  Here you'll find warmth in the form of a roaring log burner and solace in fine wine.
We even open it for events during winter when it resembles an inn, huddled in the dark countryside, with a warming and convivial atmosphere reminiscent of yore.
In 2021 we are expanding our plantings on this site, giving more for the visitor to see.

The Orchard

The orchard is below our Little Vineyard and has more than 50 trees planted over the last 11 years, with the oldest trees now being 13 years old.  It holds all the known Derbyshire varieties of apple trees, plus a number of other apple trees with local connections and some cider varieties too. One day soon we hope to offer another uniquely Derbyshire product!  You'll get to hear a bit about it on your tour.  It's also an amazing place for wine tastings - tranquil, beautiful and filled with the sound of birds and the quiet hum of bees.
